IBENO COUNCIL BOSS INAUGURATES NEW C'TTEE

...charges members to be law abiding

In his avow commitment to deliver good governance to his people, the Chairman of Ibeno local government area, Rt. Hon. Sunday Isokobo has set the ball rolling with the inauguration of newly constituted committees to help drive the governance process of his administration.
The committees were inaugurated following the dissolution of all revenue committees in Ibeno local government area on 22 August, 2020 by the Chairman of Council. 
 
The newly constituted committees are Ibeno Local Government Market Committee headed by Mrs. May Ukoette as Chairman with nine (9) other members while the Park Management Committee is headed by Mrs. Mfon Robert Mfon as Chairman and Dan Dan Iwot as Secretary with eight (8) members.
 
Others are Ibeno Local Government Main Revenue Committee headed by Hon. Joshua Mkpat as Chairman while Pastor Favour Ukim serve as Vice Chairman with Hon. Enyina Herkins as Secretary with seven (7) members. The Cyclist and Tricycle Committee is headed by Mr. Ekpe Nkan as Chairman with Elder Effiong Nchini as Secretary and three (3) members.
 
While inaugurating the committees, Rt. Hon. Isokobo urged them to discharge their duties diligently and be law abiding. He thanked all members of previous committees who served the council meritoriously. He also charged the newly inaugurated members to focus more on things that will add value to the administration particularly as the tenure is winding down. 
 
Rt. Hon. Isokobo used the opportunity to thanked the governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel for giving him the opportunity to serve as the Executive Chairman of Ibeno, promising to contribute meaningfully to the Completion Agenda of his administration.
He also thanked the stakeholders and good people of Ibeno for the opportunity and support they have given him so far, soliciting for more support to succeed as he promised not to disappoint them.
It will be recalled that Rt. Hon. Sunday Isokobo was sworn-in last week by the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel following the dead of his boss, Hon. Henry Ifum who was buried two weeks ago.

The ongoing ultramodern International Terminal Building at the Victor Attah International Airport is not only a money spinner but a legacy project beaming Akwa Ibom State to the global community.
