On behalf of the Senior Citizens, stakeholders, the entire people of the District and my family, I very heartily congratulate and salute Our Distinguished 'Ambassador' and Performer Extraordinaire, His Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as he marks his fifth year on the saddle as the Chief Servant of Akwa-Abasi Ibom State.

Sir, if doubters ever had any reason to shout nay, the peace Akwa Ibom has known in the past 5 years has calmed their nerves. Akwa Ibom elders and senior citizens have had cause to thank God that they are allowed to air their views. You have indeed been used by God to heal Akwa Ibom of the strange doctrine of politically motivated violence.

We are proud of Ibom Air, Jubilee Syringe, Metering Solutions, Plywood Factory, Coconut Refinery, Flour Mill, the Infectious Disease Centre (Isolation Centre) with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Laboratory ready for commissioning at Ituk Mbang, the rebranded secondary healthcare institutions across the State, the 21-Storey Intelligent Building, the numerous road projects and lots of other laudable programmes and projects of your administration that this message cannot carry.

We that thank you for being fair to all sections of Akwa Ibom State and, for working tirelessly to seal up the tribal cracks you met in 2015. Above all, you have won back Akwa Ibom State to God and handed back the seat of government to Him who rules in the affairs of men.

We, your brothers and sisters feel proud that you have not betrayed our confidence in you. We are happy that you have not let down the overwhelming trust of the Akwa Ibom people reposed in you on two consecutive occasions.

We shall continue to stand by you, cooperate with you and pray for you to end well. Thank you Your Excellency for making Akwa Ibom South proud.

The ongoing ultramodern International Terminal Building at the Victor Attah International Airport is not only a money spinner but a legacy project beaming Akwa Ibom State to the global community. The Commissioner for Information, Sir Charles Udoh, who is currently undertaking on-the-spot tour of government projects, stated this in Uyo, while reacting to the economic benefits of the  new Terminal Building, after an inspection tour of the project by the State Government Information Management Team.
