NDDC FINANCE DIRECTOR AND THE CONSPIRACY SURROUNDING HIS UNTIMELY DEATH.

Hon. Ibanga Bassey, the Interim Management Committee Executive Director of Finance and Administration in NDDC is dead like a movie script. The death is highly suspicious, very suspicious and deserves serious probing by the presidency without hesitation.

For two weeks, there are claims that he has been hospitalized for COVID-19 and was recovering very fast. While on the hospital bed, crisis in NDDC struck with allegations of corruption hanging on his head as well as that wretched loquacious character called Cairo Ojugboh who was dying in poverty until Amodu Sheriff took him to Godswill Akpabio to make him Acting Executive Director of Project of the IMC. The probe will also cover Akpabio and the Acting MD who is also a poor professor but now swimming in cash.

They are scared that the probe by the Senate and House of Representatives committee will indict them over the N40 billion fraud and sundry others. They have tried everything to cover up this fraud including cooking up documents.

If indicted, the EDFA will be the major person to testify on who directed him to pay such huge sum of money without legal backing. Ibanga will not like to go to jail no matter how much he loves his master. The EFCC is not a place to go everyday for questioning and he knows this.

Mr Cairo Ojugboh has been running from pillar to post looking for soft landing as well lying in between his teeth which is his stock in trade all in a bid to discredit the National Assembly. As EDP, he knows very well if the probe indicates him, it will be from the office of the EDFA since he certified the projects that were paid for. Head or tail, he knows he must answer the hangman.

The only person that may succeed in covering the track is the EDFA who is now dead.

Various news platforms reports that he was poisoned. Who may have poisoned him to stop him from revealing dirty information on hiw they turned NDDC into an ATM machine in just four months? How did a man who was allegedly recovering from sickness suddenly become dead when he had no chronic illness?

His colleagues should be arrested without delay and quizzed. This is not a death that should be swept under the carpet.

Suddenly, they have shutdown NDDC. Before the EDFA was taken for treatment, why was NDDC not shutdown since he must have made contact with staff before then? Were they waiting for this long time to get him off the way and use the death excuse to shutdown NDDC where they alone will have access to destroy sensitive documents that the EDFA would have brought to the Senate?

This death is fishy. There is everything wrong about the young man's death.

It's bad enough that the NDDC has become a cash cow for few men in Nigeria. To now add killing via poisoning to it is a new direction of attempt to stop probe by a body as sacred as National Assembly.

Thankfully enough, government is continuous and the probe MUST go on. If they like, let them poison the whole IMC to death, it will change nothing cus the Senate must investigate the disappearance of billions of Naira that Akpabio, Cairo Ojugboh and Pondei have wasted.
