MPM NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF WOMEN AFFAIRS KICK-STARTS TOUR OF SENATORIAL DISTRICTS

The women of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District have again re-affirmed their continued support for the completion agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

They made this known today, Thursday November 2nd, when the National Director of Women Affairs of MPM, Senator Akon Eyakenyi visited the area on familiarization tour. 

The event which took place at the Martha Udom Hall, Etok Ebe street, Ikot Ekpene LGA attracted women from all walks of life as well as women appointees of Government.

Speaking at the event, the MPM National Director of Special Services and the Ini MPM Local Government Coordinator and Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet lauded the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel for a conducive environment ,which according to her has attracted development to the state. She further thanked the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel for her numerous life-touching projects. 


She added that the women of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District are solidly behind the completion agenda and succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel. 

"We are women that can never be intimidated, women who show total loyalty to constituted authorities. We support the Governor because God has used him to bless Akwa Ibom people", she said. 

While calling on the MPM women coordinators to work in synergy with the Party, she charged them to be focused and remain resolute in their support for the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel and his succession plan. 

In her address, the National Director of Women Affairs of MPM and Senator representing Eket Senatorial District, Dr. (Mrs.) Akon Eyakenyi while appreciating the women of the District for standing by Governor Udom Emmanuel and his wife, noted that MPM is not a political party but an offspring of PDP with the sole mandate of supporting the Completion Agenda of the Governor and his succession plan. 

Senator Eyakeyi further appreciated the Governor for the existing peace Akwa Ibom is enjoying and appealed to the MPM women coordinators to be supportive and  committed towards the succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Goodwill messages were received from the Executive Chairman, Ikot Ekpene LGC, Hon. Unyime Etim, Member Representing Ukanafun State Constituency in the AKHA, Hon. Dr.(Mrs.) Charity Ido, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebiet, Hon. Commissiner for Education, Prof. Maria Ikorok, Mrs. Ekemini Umoh and others.

Court Jails Two Internet Fraudsters, Convicts Another

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office has secured the conviction of two internet fraudsters, namely: Rasak Olayinka Balogun and Ayodeji Oluwaseun Olatona, who all pleaded guilty to separate one-count charge of criminal impersonation. Balogun Razaq Olayinka The offence runs contrary to Section 22 (2) (b) (i) of Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc.) Act, 2015 and punishable under Section 22 (2) (b) (iv) of the same Act. While Balogun was sentenced to seven months jail term by Justice Mohammed Abubakar of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, Olatona had his date with Justice Patricia Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, who sentenced him to six months imprisonment.
