INIOBONG IDEM: A better deal for Eket people

This perception by Thomas Paine captures the intention of Mr. Iniobong Emmanuel Idem, a Chairmanship aspirant for Eket Local Government Council in the forthcoming Local Government elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr. Idem is a graduate of Geology from the prestigious University of Calabar, Cross River State, and further obtained a PGD in Hydrogeology from the same University of Calabar. A confirmation that Iniobong Idem is properly educated and lettered. He is happily married, with a family.
Mr. Idem possesses a very exciting and highly celebrated credentials in his chequered life. He runs one of the best oil servicing establishments in Nigeria with staff strength of over one hundred. He is the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, IDEMGH-LINK GROUP OF COMPANIES, IDEMGH-LINK VENTURES – Upstream/Well point Dewatering, IDEMGH-LINK DOWNSTREAM with numerous retail outlets.
He is also the Chairman of DHEMUIZ HOTELS, GARNET PNEUMATIC SERVICES and IDEMS FOUNDATION, a platform created to empower youths through training in WellPoint Dewatering, empowering and caring for the widows and less privileged. He is a fellow, National Geoscientist and Mining Society and National Chairman, Well Point Dewatering Professionals of Nigeria.
With such intimidating and mouth-watering résumé, one would expect Mr. Iniobong Emmanuel Idem to confine himself to the comfort of his wealth and to savour all the good things God has provided him with. But, alas! the burden to deliver his people from the handlock of poverty and untold deprivations. The rationale behind his aspiration for the Eket Local Government Council plump job is; “leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence.”
To him, leadership is a privilege to better the lives of others; it is not opportunity to satisfy personal greed. He has confirmed that through his relationship with his staff, friends and people. Mr. Idem has touched many lives as well as changing their fortunes. As a devout Christian, love is his watchword and extending the milk of love and kindness to those in need is the ultimate perfection in his divergent thinking.
Mr. Iniobong Emmanuel Idem is a loyal Party man who has committed his resources, time and energy to its success in election(s) in Eket in particular and Akwa Ibom State in general. His support to the Party, even in the face of difficulty is uncompromising, as he is always seen mobilizing for the victory of the PDP.
The decision of Mr. Iniobong Idem to become the Chairman of Eket Local Government Council is to improve the narratives and dynamics of the area and its people.
He is a better deal for the business, as he has copiously demonstrated that, he is a man with a heart of gold; that with him on the saddle of affairs of Eket Local Government administration, the deal between him and the people of Eket will be memorable and rewarding.
