Testimonies abound by her superb performance as confirmed by some political actors in the Senatorial District.
“Our Senator has been heard loud and clear in Abuja. Every time we watch the proceedings in the National Assembly in the Senate Chamber, we will see our Senator feature. In the four years gone, our Senator was lost in the Chamber. As God will have it this time, our Senator is found, available, visible and she is making impact. I am very happy today because we didn't have opportunity from 2015 to 2019 May but God has turned the story of Eket Senatorial District and we can now gather under our Senator as a people. What can be better than to send your first eleven to represent you. And for the Elders of the Senatorial District who practically gave her all the support, I must stand here to say it was a choice well made.” – MR. EPHRAIM INYANG, Commissioner for Works.
"I stand here to give thanks to God for what God has done in our Senatorial District. Before now it was as if Eket Senatorial District does not have somebody to represent them. But by the grace of God, God did wonders and brought out a lady we all know her capacity. Today we have seen that God was really on our own side. This is the first time I have seen the calibre of people coming out to open a Constituency Office. I have been in politics for years, I have not seen this. This also indicates that the lady we are here to honour is a grassrooter and she has performed extremely very very well. On our own part, we have no regret at all. The Elders have no regret; I believe the youth have no regret. The women have no regret by having her. Mma, we appreciate you, we thank you. I want to also add that the youth the elders to support her and make her stay in the Senate a success." - ELDER BENJAMIN UDOBIA, CEO of Eden Hotels Ltd & Deputy Director General, Divine Mandate Campaign Organization.
Sen. Eyakenyi has given representation a human face against what was obtainable in the past and deserves commendation. She is very active and not wanting in the area of legislation, oversight and representation. She holds dear the mandate unanimously given to her by her constituents and will do everything humanly possible to protect that mandate by ensuring that in the remaining three years, the people will gather and say congratulation for a job welldone.
As a representation of the people, her actions have proven that she is on the right track and deserves our collective support to succeed.
Congratulation our Distinguished Senator. We wish you more robust legislative engagement in the remaining three years in office.

She has spoken
strongly against Social Media Bill describing it as infringements on human
rights and free press. Hear her: "The good people of Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District believe
that democracy thrives on free speech and citizens’ freedom to express their
opinions on how best they feel they should be governed. The mandates we hold as
senators are in trust for the people and the powers we exercise are delegated
by the people with whom power resides. Therefore, any attempt to shut up and
threaten the owners of the mandate from freely holding their opinions in line
with our laws shall strongly be resisted by me. The ECOWAS Court of Justice and
the African Court of Human Rights have in the past declared similar attempts as
illegal. Across the globe, infringements on human rights and free press is condemnable.
We must therefore be careful not to portray ourselves as a country that is
sliding into intolerance and, we must not allow the rights we fought for and
won to be abrogated by misconceived opinions.
I therefore condemn in the
strongest terms, the proposed pieces of legislation which in my judgement are
not in the best interest of our image as Africa’s Big Brother. Let it be on
record that I stand against these bills and that my constituents reject them in
totality. Death penalty as canvassed by one of the proposals is without
argument outrageous and such dangerous signal must not be sent out to the
international community about our human rights records." - SEN. AKON
