#1001+ VOICES INITIATIVE VISITS EKET LGA

 ...donates 1000 nosemasks to Eket Covid-19 Action C’ttee

It was an exciting moment yesterday as a community based non-governmental organization, 1001+ Voices Initiative visited Eket local government area to donate free treated nosemasks to the people in support to contain the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic in the area.

Making presentation on behalf of the organization, the Eket Local Government Coordinator of 1001+ Voices, Mr. Emmanuel Sammy used the occasion to appreciate the effort of Akwa Ibom State Government led by Mr Udom Emmanuel and by extension commended our medical personnel for their effort in combating the deadly monster, Covid-19 which informed the decision of 1001+ Voices Initiative to complement government effort with the donation of 1000 nosemasks.

 Speaking further, Emmanuel Sammy, who double as the Secretary of Eket Covid-19 Action Committee used the occasion to introduced the group to the people of Eket local government area as a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by a visionary leader, Ide Okon Owodiong Idemeko (1001), the Obong Unwana Ibesikpo Asutan and other like-minded individuals (+) to galvanize our brothers and sisters around a new narrative that recognizes the superiority of our power as citizens to those we elect or select in position of leadership.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Eket Local Government, the Chairman Eket Action Committee on Covid 19, Barr Akpadiaha Ebitu commended the 1001+ Voices for their show of love and support to the people of Eket local government area most especially at a pressing time like this. He assured that the item will be judiciously put to use, praying God's blessings and protection upon the group and it's leadership.

 The event was attended by a delegation from 1001+ Voices and Members of Eket Action Committee on Covid 19, amongst others.
