First batch of youths numbering over 50, from Eket Federal Constituency, Friday benefited from palliatives Governor Udom Emmanuel through the Divine Mandate Community Service reach out programme.
The brief presentation exercise which held at the PDP
Secretariat/Divine Mandate Office in Eket, saw the distribution of food
items and cash gifts to the benefitting youths from Eket, Esit Eket and
Ibeno local government areas.
Distributing the palliatives, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Aniefiok Wilson Iwaudofia, and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation Essien Ndueso, in their separate remarks thanked the youths for remaining steadfast in their support to the Udom Emmanuel led administration, saying the gesture was the Governor's way of showing appreciation to the youths for believing in him.
The Governor's aides advised the youths to shun vices capable of derailing their future, and urged them not to relent in supporting the government, assuring of better days ahead.
"Eschew rape, cultism and other vices in order to be in the good books of Governor Udom Emmanuel," they charged the youths.
In their appreciation, some of the youths, Jerry Edoho, Ubong David and Samuel Eyo thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for the surprised package and promised to remain supportive of his administration.
The Divine Mandate Community Service is a vehicle, used by the Governor to provide palliatives through food and gift items to people in state.
